Here at the Venango VNA Foundation, we do more than provide financial support for patients…we create memories. Donna, VNA Hospice Patient, had one request and that was to spend the day with her family at the Pittsburgh Zoo.
On a warm summer weekend, Donna did just that. Her trip to the zoo was an unforgettable one. She paused for a moment and said, “…just being able to get away and have a good time with my family without having to worry” was one of the many highlights in her weekend.
Her fun-filled weekend didn’t end after leaving the zoo, she cruised over to the Carnegie Science Center and Living Treasure Wild Animal Park. With her granddaughter in tow, hearing “Come on Grandma!” was a favorite memory that Donna loved the most!
Like many of us this summer, we look forward to our family vacation, whether it is a “staycation” or heading to the beach. It’s not necessarily where we go… it’s who you have beside you that matters the most!
Thank you Donna for allowing us to fulfill your wish and for reminding us how important it is to create special memories with the ones we love!
