The Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County is pleased to invite your child(ren) to participate in our 22nd annual Camp Good Grief program, sponsored by our Venango VNA Foundation. As the largest bereavement camp in Venango County, Camp Good Grief, provides a day of healing strictly for children and teens who are grieving a death of a loved one.
Please join us at 9:00 am on Thursday, June 11th, at Singing Hills Girls Scout Camp (114 Singing Hills Road Oil City, PA 16301). The day will be filled with activities such as coping with grief workshops, games, crafts, music and sports. The camp will conclude with a memorial service ending at 7:00 pm.
The campers will have an opportunity to learn more about grief, learn to grow beyond their losses, and participate in many group activities. Each child and teen is assigned to an adult counselor who provides support and supervision throughout the day.
Camp registration is $10.00, which includes meals, snacks, crafts and a camp T-shirt. Please make checks payable to Venango VNA Foundation. Financial assistance is available upon request through our foundation.
Space is limited, so please complete the Camp Good Grief application and return it no later than Friday, May 29th. We look forward to receiving your child’s application.
